Bournville Village Honey

Our Honey is Raw. We light mesh filter for removal of foreign bodies only. The honey does not undergo any pasteurisation or processing, and therefore retains more than 75 different compounds - enzymes, minerals and trace minerals,  vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates and organic acids. Most of these qualities are lost in mass produced processed honey.

Our Bees forage naturally in and around Bournville Village and whatever they produce, is what we sell you.

Colin and Ian collect the Honey supers from the hives, uncap the honey manually and then spin the honey out with an electric centrifuge. The honey is then poured through 3 levels of filter and left in a ripening tank, to allow all of the air bubbles to settle out.

After 7 days of settling, Colin & Ian decant the honey out into various types of jar, tub, and squeezy containers. The honey produced we sell as soon as jars are labelled and this means all of our honey is this years crop.

Where Do We Sell Our Honey

As you can imagine our honey is very popular. Most of our annual crop is sold word of mouth among family and friends. We produce only a small crop as we focus on the bees rather than what we can get from them.

We do sell Through Leverton & Halls in Bournville who sell out very quickly any stock we provide.
